So This Is Christmas...

I'm still waiting to hear if there is another position open at the hospital, but the yarn store will be moving in April, so I can hold out for that. I'm hoping to get some things up on Etsy--ya know, once I have some yarn spun :)

We had a really good Christmas. Santa brought me a spinning wheel (I will have pictures later). It's so cute. It's an Ashford Kiwi, although it came with a VHS on how to spin, so my brother-in-law is going to turn it into a DVD for me. I have a bit of yarn on Thursday, but will need a bit more practice. Mike found a Koala rescue in Australia and adopted a koala in my name. His name is Henry and he was found last year on my birthday. I will post a picture of him later too because he's adorable. Santa brought Mike a Lego Volkswagen beetle. He had it together before Christmas dinner.  Oh and we also got a cruise to Cozumel for Christmas.

Friday we left to go to the in-laws vacation home in PA. There wasn't alot of snow which was depressing, but we had a good time. We went tubing on Saturday afternoon and other than it being horrendously muddy, we had a blast. We went and had some family portraits taken on Saturday morning.  They don't have the tv hooked up yet, so after dinner on Saturday, we watched some old slides of Mike and his sister Leigh. OMG, I hope we have little boys that look just like Mike when he was little. He's very handsome now, but a total cutie as a baby. He had this curly blond hair. I don't think he had as much fun as we had, but the rest of us enjoyed it.  We had Christmas up in PA as well and I got a new cupcake cookbook and a candy thermometer and a Willow Tree nativity set (although I opened that at home), some fun bubble bath and a cool lodgey-type bowl.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. edit: I did forget something. Mike got me a Harvey's purse (pics coming later). It's made of seatbelts. I saw it on Julie's blog and had to have one. :)

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I was able to check on Mike's blackberry to see if Newt or Maria had their baby yet. I hope one of them comes on Thursday :) Whoever has a baby on my birthday-I will send them a gift each year until they are 18 :)

Oooh...a little competition, eh?!

Can't wait to see all your pictures, especially that seatbelt purse!

And where in PA were you? Close to me at all??

Sounds like you made out like a bandit! Santa must've thought you were a good girl this year ;) I want to get the Willow Tree Nativity piece by piece this year so I can have it for next year.
