Mike had Friday off, so we had plans to get up early and head to the Newseum in DC. This is the first time we have been into DC without guests in town. Wahoo...cross one of my 101 list. It was pretty cool. We were going to go down there right after it opened, but we woke up at 10:45-which never happens, but it felt good. Ended up not getting down there until 2-had to eat lunch and the Metro ride is not quick from where we are. There is lots of stuff to read at the museum. The top floor has the best view of the Capitol, which was true. They had an exhibit of the Pulitzer Prize winning photographs from when they started the prize. Some were really graphic-as in-it was a little uncomfortable having them on the wall. They had an exhibit of the front pages of the newspapers from 9/12/01 from all around the world, as well as the antenna from the top of the North Tower.

Mike's iPod hasn't been working lately. The headphone jack doesn't work all of the time. So, I gave him mine, since I use it mainly when I'm in bed to listen to music. In place of that, I got this:
It's so cute, and it moves the screen sideways when you turn it. That is about it. I should have an update on the craft blog later today. Hugs!

I have to admit, I'm kinda jealous of all of the cool stuff you have around you to visit. In Vegas, there's The Strip, The Strip, and oh yeah, The Strip. Not so much fun as a local.
